I think this is my favourite piece in your gallery, maybe even my favourite piece on dA. I´ve already loved the previous version of this from when I first saw it, and I still can´t get enough of looking at it. The composition of colours, the textures, facial expressions and the anatomy are just perfect. The darker outlines make the image clear, which is a nice contrast to the smooth areas. I love that there´s so much movement in the body of the entity at the right, but what I find the most interesting is that none of the persons is focusing on the creature´s torn-off head, but only on the hands of the greedy man or the coins - fascinating how you froze that moment, there´s such a great tension created by that. It´s stunning how the mimic and gestures show so clearly what different feelings all of them have. I guess they´re just a perfect cross-section of what "kinds of people" there are in our world. (I like the girl with the dark hair best, the deploring, hopeless expression of her just so damn pretty face :) ...) It`s like nature testing mankind in this picture, and I guess they failed ... What is making me thoghtful is that the ones who see the doom - who are AWARE of it - are ignoring it and are sitting there passively because they think they can´t change it. I wonder if they could ...? To me the message of this masterpiece is the ignorance of people who are only focused on money and material things and don´t see how they fall into ruin from own-fault. In general, I appreciate that your art is always dealing with current issues and yet has that special, mystical feeling. This is social criticism in the most beautiful way I`ve ever seen!! ... Sorry for the mile long comment, but it all had to be said. ;)
